Sumayya and Lorne
Sumayya Daghar
Sumayya is a 23-year-old Muslim from the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from McGill University in 2010 with a BA in International Development Studies, Middle East Studies and Jewish Studies.
She is the Muslim advisor for the interfaith initiative Kids4Peace and has worked with Jewish, Christian and Muslim children in Canada and the Middle East. Sumayya speaks four languages and enjoys working and volunteering with diverse communities in Canada.
Lorne Anderson
Lorne Anderson is 23 years old. He currently lives, studies and works in Townsville, Australia. While this is currently his hometown, it is definitely not the only one as he has moved around much with his family.
He is a Christian and has been inspired by the love of God and the sacrifice of Jesus for the past nine years. Recently he began working as a chaplain at a local school and has been able to do pastoral work at the church he attends. He is also in his third year of studying Psychology and Social Science at James Cook University in Townsville. His focus is in Criminology and Youth Deviance and he is looking forward to where this, along with his faith, will take him in the future. In his spare time Lorne loves sports and the outdoors.
