Sajjad Jatoi in Quetta, Pakistan
Sajjad used his school to motivate and spread awareness about malaria within his local community. He organised several great events that brought together different members of the community – from teachers and students to shopkeepers.
Sajjad organised fun events, including tea and biscuit parties, where members of his community could discuss malaria prevention.
Sajjad also organised a lecture for all the members of the school to inform them about how malaria can be overcome, during which the school cleaning staff discussed how they could best clean the school to prevent malarial mosquitoes from breeding. This event was a great chance for people to come together and has facilitated much debate and action within Sajjad’s community.
