Remgius Philipo in the Nyanza Province, Kenya
To support malaria eradication in his local area Remgius hosted a malaria ‘bye-bye’ event at his local primary school in the Nyanza Province.
This event bought in many people from all levels of the community: from school children to government officials from the province and local religious leaders.
Raising awareness about the dangers of malaria in this community is especially key as it lies on the shores of Lake Victoria – an area where malaria is prevalent – and by bringing the whole community together Remigus made sure that the community as a whole is more prepared to fight this killer disease.
