Leena Yakoob in Birmingham, UK
Leena is a six year old girl from Birmingham who decided that not enough people in her neighbourhood knew about malaria and the devastating impact it has on people around the world.
In order to raise awareness she drew a fantastic picture of a person with a bed net and used her drawing to explain to her community how important bed nets are in eradicating deaths from malaria. She also distributed Faiths Act Ribbons and collected donations towards bed nets for communities in need.
Leena has shown that not matter what age you are, you can engage people in your local community to help fight deaths from malaria.
