Jodi Ide in Utah, USA
Students in Jodi Ide’s Face to Faith class organized and participated in a malaria awareness fundraiser and awareness event in conjunction with Human Rights Day. Students first did research about malaria and the effects of malaria on the world. Next, students create fliers and posters to hang around their school helping their peers become aware of this horrible, yet preventable disease. Lastly, students made cinnamon rolls before school for an entire week to sell to their peers to raise money to support the fights against malaria. Students also sold hot chocolate at two home basketball games during the same week to add to their collection of funds. All in all students were able to raise close to $500.00.
