We learnt more about ourselves, as well as solidarity' High school students in San Jose
Our event was held at Notre Dame High School in San Jose, CA by an Interfaith group called ROOTS. There were a few different components to our event. We of course served many teas, from all over the world, to represent our diversity. We held small group discussions based on people we believe to be great Interfaith leaders, including Daisaku Ikeda, Badshah Khan, Dorothy Day, Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, and Thich Nhat Hanh. Following these discussions, we watched videos excerpted from the documentary called The Calling, after which we continued our discussions and learned more about ourselves, as well as solidarity and how religion ties into that, making us whole. We got a lot of great feedback about our event and questions about when our next SolidariTea would be held, so we look forward to our next opportunity to do so!
