Faiths Act Fellowship alum continues her interfaith work against malaria in Vancouver
As a Faiths Act Fellow Alum and a nursing student, I’m passionate about eradicating malaria. Malaria kills more than 3000 African children each day. Every 45 seconds, somewhere in the world, a child dies from malaria. After the Faiths Act Fellowship, I have been involved with Iona Pacific Youth, an interfaith youth group in Vancouver (www.ionapacific.ca) .
For World Malaria Day, Iona Pacific Youth took a picture to show their support for malaria bed nets. Iona Pacific Youth are also involved in the Congregations Act Campaign to raise money and awareness in Vancouver for fighting malaria.
